During the use of the gearbox, various metal chips and impurities will be produced. If these substances are mixed in the gearbox oil for a long time, it will aggravate the wear of the gearbox. The transmission oil filter can filter out these impurities, so that clean transmission oil is supplied to the friction surface. All automatic transmissions have transmission oil filters, and some manual transmissions with forced lubrication also have transmission oil filters (usually large trucks). Since it is hidden inside the gearbox, it cannot be seen or touched, so many people will ignore it. In many 4S shops and repair shops, it is very irresponsible for the mechanic to change the oil without changing the filter when changing the gearbox for the customer. If the filtering effect of the transmission oil filter is not good, and there are many impurities in the transmission oil, the transmission may fail to shift in time, jitter, and setback, and it will also shorten the service life of the transmission.
The transmission oil filter is generally replaced when the transmission oil is changed. When replacing the transmission oil filter, pay attention to the fact that there are several small magnets in the transmission oil pan, which are full of iron filings. Be sure to clean them up too.
