In the process of production, transportation and storage of gasoline, it is inevitable to be polluted to a certain extent. Some dust particles, mechanical impurities, and moisture in the absorbed air will enter the gasoline. Today's gasoline engines are all electronically controlled fuel injection systems, in which the components are very precise, especially the injectors, and the requirements for the gap of the nozzles are very strict. If the unfiltered gasoline enters the engine, the impurities in the gasoline will wear or block the fuel injector, so that the fuel injector cannot inject fuel normally, thus affecting the operation of the engine. Therefore, this kind of unclean gasoline cannot meet the normal working requirements of the engine, and the gasoline must be filtered before entering the engine.
There are two types of gasoline filters, one is a straight-in and straight-out, with oil return line type gasoline filter, which is generally installed at the bottom of the car; the other is an integrated oil pump assembly type, which is installed in the gasoline with the gasoline pump. in the box. Generally, there is a filter before the gasoline pump to filter some larger particles, prevent the gasoline pump from being sucked in, and protect the gasoline pump.
Gasoline filters are consumable parts. In terms of replacement, each brand and model manufacturer has different regulations, but it is usually replaced every 20,000 to 30,000 kilometers of the vehicle.
It should be noted that the gasoline filter has a direction and cannot be installed backwards during installation, otherwise the engine will not start; and gasoline is extremely flammable, so pay attention to fire prevention when replacing it.
